The Pathway To Your Future!

Published Dec-9-2011

Nobody wants to be stuck in a boring, dead-end job where they make little money. And while dream jobs don't just fall into your lap, you can achieve your dreams - by making smart choices about your education and your career choice.

Every step you take in life - school, hobbies, jobs - can help you move along your career pathway.

With each choice and decision you make, and each event that occurs in your life (planned or unplanned) building your career pathway is a life-long process. You will go from school to school, job to job, and perhaps career to career, with each change resulting in another step on your path.

You may be at the beginning of your pathway, still in high school or in your first job. You may be in the middle, having worked one or more jobs for a while, and perhaps found a chosen career field that you enjoy. Or you may be near the end, maybe experiencing unemployment for the first time after working for many years. Regardless, making informed decisions along the way and having a goal in mind will

help.

Finding a focus or a goal, and looking at all the various ways you could get there can be challenging, but also rewarding. A goal provides direction so you can see what education and training you need to get the kind of job that fits what you're good at and what you like to do.

Take each step in your life carefully, inform all of your decisions, don't be afraid to ask questions of those around you, and you will follow your pathway to success.
